Japanese Canadian Families in York Region
A group of Japanese Canadian Families who reside in York region will be performing and introducing a various aspects of Japanese culture.
The main organizers and performers are Japanese mothers who have small children. Many of us have participated in the local events such as Aurora Canada Day parade and Food Festival in Newmarket. Some of our group member's relatives have been severely affected by the earthquake and the tsunami.
We are extremely honoured to be a large part of this event.
Stephanie Uprichard - Treefrog Interactive Inc.
Stephanie is Creative Director at Treefrog Interactive Inc. and got the ball rolling with her friend Junko Oyanagi to get this Relief effort going. Brad Jones - Brad Jones Karate
Brad Jones kindly donated his Karate Dojo to host the Japan Relief event - where he is celebrating his 35th year as a school in Newmarket. He will also be giving a Martial Arts demonstration on the night. Find out more about Brad Jones and his work here.
